This program is designed for 1D wave propogation analyses
using an explicit finite difference scheme.
Major components of this software include:
- Use of the HDCP soil model
- Hysteretic damping at low strains
- Modeling of degradation and degeneration of stress-strain loops for cohesive and cohesionless soils
- Calculation of redistribution and dissipation of excess pore pressures
- Compliant base and energy absorbing lateral boundaries
This program also provides the following functionality:
- Generation of output files: time histories of acceleration, velocity, displacement, shear stress, shear strain, and excess pore pressure in any layer
- Graphical animation of soil response during earthquake shaking.
- Verification against closed-form solutions and case histories
