Karaka Bay Stability

Karaka Bay Stability

As part of a slope stability study at Karaka Bay, Auckland, New Zealand a TECHBASE database was constructed containing all relevant spatial and time dependent data. Drillhole data was also stored in the database.

TECHBASE application programs were used for geological mapping (Figure 1) constructing a three-dimensional model of the existing ground surface (Figure 2) slide surface (Figure 3) and phreatic surface (Figure 4) Also to allocate the variable strength parameters for the slide surface (Figure 5).

Results of the Karaka Bay TSLOPE3 analysis are shown in the section (Figure 6)and plan (Figure 7).
